WOW 30,000 hits!

I just noticed that this blog has hit the 30,000 hit mark. Now I know that's not much in the blogging world, but for me, it's nice to see that some of my ramblings are actually interesting to some people.

Heavy rains, cadets, work,

Nova Scotia is to be hit by a large rain storm. It's to rain for a week.
I'm going through the process of getting vetted as a Civilian instructor with Royal Canadian Army Cadets.
I have also been doing shifts as a night guard with Securitas Canada. Busy busy busy and living the dream.

Unpacking my kit

I was able to go to customs, get my shipment stamped, then yesterday was spent ferrying the parcels from the warehouse to my home.
While I was at work, my family began to unpack, then I've spent the last hour unpacking my history books, and the rest of my war gamming kit. WOW.

My parcels are in storage in Nova Scotia

my parcels are in my city, but I need to contact the warehouse where they are being held to pick them up. Could take a few days.

The Invasion of Canada, 1812

I was able to purchase this book at a used book store in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. I shall use this to further my scenarios for War of 1812 battles.
