War of 1812 10th Royal Veteran's Battalion

The 10th Royal Veteran's Battalion was a battalion made up of veterans of the British forces for service in the colonies. This unit gave the colonial authorities of British North America a seasoned core of troops who could help instill a sense of pride in defense of King and country.
As a Royal unit, the battalion wore red coats faced blue.
This is the first Crown forces unit I will be working on.

Canada in The Normandy Campaign

This particular campaign is part of my family history as my grandfather fought there. Well, he didn't fight, he was in the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps which came in handy when he opened his own clothing store after the war.

Also, growing up in my hometown of Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, alot of the WW2 veterans had served in that campaign as members of the North Nova Scotia Highlanders. I remember my school janitor had served there and he always wore special braces as his legs had been so badly wounded.

Currently, in storage at home, I have these units ready for the gaming table.

Cold Wars 1965-95

Most of my wargamming is during the Black Powder era. However, I do have an extensive collection of other time periods. Unfortunately, they are all in storage back in Canada. Update as of September 24, 2013, my rules for FIREPOWER game were chewed up by mice! They used the damm cards as nesting for their homes. Consequently I will have to invest in Cold War 1986 from Osprey publishing in order to have rules for my late 20th century games. All my other sets seem fine.
