Black powder games to make a comeback

I've had 2 issues with doing this era, distractions with other eras, and my battle with depression.
I just haven't had the motivation to finish projects however there are several from last year I will attempt to finish this year. With the current Covid 19 Crisis, my son and I should be able to get a few battles on the go.

Plans for 2020

So I was overly ambitious for this year, I changed jobs which threw off my game plans and I strayed from the 18th century but fear not, I shall be back in this period with relish,
1. Begin working on the ho/how buildings
2. Possibly some skirmishing
3. Lots of terrain projects mainly finishing up some kits and gear
4. Touch ups on figures

Black powder games to resume with Pike and Shot, Black powder

I'm sifting through my collection after my house move and sorting out my new garage/ game room.
I just need to get a power source as the original one was cut when the septic system was installed!
Failing to get a power source, I shall make due. I'm still sorting out the figures in boxes. But gamming shall commence.

GNW Russians painted as Colonial American Troops and British

Back in the late winter, I was called into work and happened to be able to stop my one of the few hobby shops in the city. I was delighted to find a set of Zeveda Peter The Great troops.
I was able to buy this set in Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan several years ago. Since I got a second set, these I shall paint up as both British units I need to flesh out, and Colonial American units from 1700-1776

Pictures to follow

The first units I have painted up consist of Maryland Colonial troops

Next are three companies of Pennsylvania Regiment

5th Marines, Royal Navy 1740s

Various Colonial Provincial units. I will identify them in a bit

Going through my BA papers on Nova Scotia/Acadia in 18th century

I studied a lot on this period and have way too much old style notes. I remember writing my first BA paper with a typewriter!

I'm toying with the idea of trying to research and rewrite some of my papers into either an Osprey book, or to get some published.
This will take time, but I shall see.
Gaming will recommence once I move into an apartment. The cost of oil is a bit high until I can get a mortage, then get my own house.

The King's Men for On the Seven Seas

These figures I have done up for a variety of periods from 1680 up to about 1765. Granted, by the upper time period, they are stretching it just a bit.

The first figures up are a generic Grenadier/Marine unit, originally a Zeveda Russian Infantry of Peter I for the Great Northern War. I have painted these up as a Grenadier company of the 17th Regiment, but can also become a Marine unit.

I also have a Grenade/Hand mortar fellow, and some choice officers.
Unfortunately I found this gaming system to be too complex with musket, pistol and cannon firing. So it was one of the few and only Osprey publishing book I willingly parted with.
