Hot time Summer in Chiba

My temporary tattoo: Swing Free Sport Kilt
I've been tempted to get tattoos of my former cap badges, plus my wife wants me to put her name on me, so I will see.

My summer haircut. Buzzed down, feels cooler.

This is a shot taken after 10 days of rain and humidity!

Day one of rain

Daddy's hair style is good, Leena says

Trying to eat lunch in an outdoor covered patio with 30c and 75% humidity! The sweat is running into my eyes despite my sweat cloth on my head.

Ian trying to beat the heat with a cold drink.

Leena seems fine digging into her grub.

The kids trying out a hammock made by a Mexican company for the Japanese market. Was really comfortable too!

Wearing my Ulster Defence cap badge on a rifle green beret while wearing a maroon t-shirt and an olive green sweat cloth, one of the few sunny days during rainy season!
East Asia has been suffereing from rainy season, plus the start of the typhoon season! Makes for an unpleasant summer in urban areas!

Happy Birthday Leena

Eight years old today

The birthday girl with her brother and Daddy.

My meal, an assortment of foods, the roast beef was good, but I felt it was a tad underdone, I like mine medium rather than rare.

Leena is pleased

Leena gives it a thumbs up, Emi enjoys

view from the lounge we had our lunch in. Tokyo Bay from Makuhari shore.

Ice cold beer, ah the memories, can only look though.

Packing my collection

I believe I will be to busy to play much between now and my departure. I packed most of my books, and most of my figures. We will ship our gear home by sea.
Can't wait to camp back home
We were able to contact a company which can send by sea to Halifax, Nova Scotia, the closest port to where I will be living.

Count down

Well it looks like my dreams of going home may bear fruition. My family had been planning a vacation, now it will be a move. I have been looking at buying a house back home but need to be in Canada to do so.
Thus my bloggin will be done from Canada soon!
This has been my main reason for lack of blogging, plus tossing out eleven years worth of junk,
I need to ship my things by sea so will begin packing

Another weekend at Across Mall

Emi was getting a beauty treatment yesterday, which she thought would only take an hour, which actually took 3!
It's another thumbs up day out with Daddy, and he knows where to get good grub.
Ian and Leena tuck into a bowl of Pork bone broth ramen noodles
My Chinese set I ordered: Fried rice, Gyoza pan fried dumplings, fried chicken with egg drop soup.
Leena wanted to give a beaver teeth type smile

My kids hamming it up, while I seem to have the image of a pro wrestler

Only in Japan, can you walk with an open can of beer (in this case a non-alcoholic one) in public. Posing with some of the camping kit at my favorite store.

Another May, another sports day

The cynacism is just dripping.  A day full of over hyper kids grumpy parents and jostling for a shot of your child that looks like everyone else. At least I can find my kids as they are white

Twelth Wedding Anniversary

Emi and I enjoying a scone and beverages at a Starbucks in Kamagaya
Home made cheeseburgers on bagels

Ian asked if I could make these which I did using 500g of ground beef. Problem was, the meatloaf seasoning I had was from my trip back to Nova Scotia two years ago and it had hardened. Thus some burgers were rather on the salty side. But still a fun anniversary on a Sunday. It was actually on Monday, but we celebrated a day early.
